Frequent-flyer and mileage programmes offer an assortment of goods and services to gain more points, working through a network of partners and relationships.
Swifter Processing and Reporting
Baggage handling systems have become more sophisticated at many airports, including Heathrow airport’s Terminal 5 baggage handling facility, which uses complex software to route and screen baggage.
Scanners for scrutinising carry-on baggage as well as body scanners, have led to faster processing and better security reporting.
The Immigration posts in many international airports, through the use of biometrics, has streamlined the admission process into a country, as well as helped to allay fears relating to fake documentation.
